Changing Raid Controller
Hi!
I have Poweredge R610 with H200 raid controller, and two are disks which are not configured as virtual disks.
I am going to change it to the H710 controller, and I should copy the data from the old two disks, into new disks which Im going to configure in RAID5.
Is there any way I can just take the old disks out , and connect it somehow to the server copy the data?
I have esxi server installed on one of the disks, but I am going to install it again on the new disks, and I want to copy the machines to the esxi.
Any suggestions would be appreciated:)
Thanks!!

The H710 is not officially supported on the R610. If you want to try it, it will "probably" work fine ... just so long as you know.
The H200 supports non-RAID, but the H7x0 controllers do not, so if you have non-RAID disks, then H7x0 controller will not recognize their data at all and see them only as empty (Ready) disks. You are better off copying them to external media, then back after configuring/initializing the RAID arrays on the H7x0 controller.
