Terencebk,

Without the Dracs installed the only way I see you could get that information, while in production, would be to use RDP (console) to the server and then run a Dset Report. You can get the Dset tool here.  That's the only remote option I can think of. Locally you can either use Open Manage or a Dset report to get that information, but remotely, without Dracs, I think RDP is the option to use.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your quick advice, I am not really familiar with the RDP approach and it would be great if more detail on how I can connect using it. Should I use the BIOS configured IP address to connect to it when running Dset tool? In case there is no configured IP address for remote console, is that possible to run Dset report or open manager under ESXi console? ESXi console and its VMs are the only hosts that I can connect with for those machines currently.

Regards

Terence

Which hypervisor are you using for the virtual machines? Any machines with a physical OS that supports OMSA, the OMSA GUI can be accessed remotely on those machines (https://remotesystemnameorip:1311).
