Converting a Diskless PowerEdge R640 to disked.
Hello All,
Would someone be able to assist me in an endeavor we are facing? We are looking to purchase a backplane and disks for a diskless PowerEdge R640.
I know that there are three backplane configurations available for this model:
8 X 2.5 [Dell Part 94J5V]
4 X 3.5 [Dell Part JWG9T]
10 X 2.5 [Dell Part T9JCP]
Can someone else please help with the the additional parts required for this conversion? Parts such as backplane power cable, backplane signal cable, SATA or SAS cables, RAID controller with cache, plus anything else I may have forgot.
Any help or guidance would be severely appreciated.

Hi,
Usually the server is preconfigured before it is shipped to the user, hence, searching parts to build may not match correctly and might not get the correct part for the required configuration. I'll try to help but unsure if it will guarantee work correctly. Here's the search list, I manage to search:
