E0D76 Drive Fault Errors

I have a RAID 5 configuration, and it seems that one of the drives has gone out. The server is a PowerEdge 4600, and unfortunately I don't have OpenManage installed. I can install it, but I'm unsure wether or not it will request a reboot. Anyway, what is the best approach at replacing this drive in this condition? I can wait until after hours to power it down. Can I then just replace the drive in the caddie and expect the controller to dynamically rebuild the array?

It would be best to replace the failed drive while powered up rather than performing a power down to replace. Under power, the RAID controller will recognize the removal and reinsertion events and start the rebuild. If replaced while powered off, there's no notification of replacement and additional risk if the drive is recognized as a configured drive.
