Enable write cache on PERC H200i
I've read in some other threads that enabling the write cache can improve the performance of the H200i and that ii is ok to do so if you have battery backup. How do I activate write cache on a machine with XenServer 5.6 and a H200i with SATA disks attached to it?

Chrisderoover,
You would need to do so from Open manage, as there is no option within the controller BIOS.
Here is the Xenserver 5.6 version - www.dell.com/.../poweredge-r610
After installing then open and go to Storage- Perc H200- Virtual Disks - then in dropdown select CHANGE POLICY and hit Execute. Then select ENABLED for the cache.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your prompt reply!
During installation an error appears that some files are missing. In fact, we are using XenServer 5.6 FP1, could that be the reason?

It's a Poweredge R515.
