Expanding RAID5 Array with PERC H700
I am adding 5 more hard drives to my RAID5 array.
I just wanted to confirm that when I use the "Reconfigure..." function/task/wizard, and add the drives, it's not going to erase my data, but just add the drives so that I can expand the array.

Psymun,
Yes, you will use the Reconfigure option if the drives are showing under the Physical Drives page. If their not then run a RESCAN to locate the drive and then you will us the Reconfigure. It does allow you to keep the data in place while it is processing, but it is highly recommended to back the data up before making any changes to the array.
Let me know if this helps.

One note; if your virtual disk will grow from below 2TB to above 2TB, you will only be able to use the space after the 2TB mark (2048GB) if the disk is using a GPT partition table. You can check this in disk management by right clicking the disk (not the partition/volume), selecting properties and going to the volume tab.
To change from MBR to GPT requires (backing up your data and then) deleting all partitions/volumes from the disk, then convert (takes 5 seconds) and then you can recreate your partitions and restore your data.
