Formatting Hardisk R310
Greeting ,
I would like to format my R310 and make it as new unit . I try to do that by the service option but I can't . So, can any one to help on this .
My R310 is with :
16 GB Mamory
4 x 1 TB harddisk
Raid 10

What controller is installed in the server?
If it is the Perc 6/i or the H700 you will see a CTRL-R prompt to access the controller on boot up. Once in the controller you can scroll down to the Virtual Disk that makes your raid 10 and then hit F2.
You will then select INITIALIZATION and then START INIT. The init will take awhile. After that then you can reinstall your OS.
Be certain you have the data you need, once the init is running there is no going back.
