Inaccessible Boot Device

I have a PowerEdge 2500 server with a PERC 3/Di RAID controller installed.  I have Windows 2000 Server installed as an operating system.  Every so often when this server is rebooted, it goes to the windows splash screen then jumps to a BSOD that has an "Inaccessible Boot Device" error.

We have run chkdsk/ r and came back with no errors.

The motherboard and the backplane have been replaced.

We have booted the system from the W2K server CD, pressed F6 to load the RAID controllers, then repaired from an emergency repair disk before and brought the system back up successfully.  This time the system is hanging at the "Setup is examining folders...." screen of the server setup.

Looking for ANY suggestions!!!

Have you run a consistency check on your array?  It may find media errors on the hard disks that chkdsk might fail to find.

No, we haven't- we can't log back on the server to get to were we can run a consistancy check.  Unless we can do it in the boot screen somewhere.
