I have not used the the Perc 2 in a while, but you might try hitting f6, and choose the Windows 2000 drive for the intial install. If it works, once the install completes, update the driver to the Windows 2003 driver

You might try the Lsilogic drivers, at least to get you into Windows..they are compatible, as Lsi  supplies the Perc adapters, and the base drivers.

Hi,

He said PERC 2, that if it's the quad channel, would be the Adaptec controller. If it's any other PERC 2 (II, /SC, /DC) you would be correct.

Make sure you go into the controller BIOS (CTRL M if II, /SC or /DC) (CTRL A if the PERC 2) and create the RAID array, and on the AMI / LSI controllers, go ahead and initialize the array. This will report an actual logical drive to the O/S once you load the driver. Additionaly if it's the Adaptec, note the controller's F/W revision, and use the same revision of driver, or update the F/W to the latest version, the PERC 2 is really sensitive to having the driver and F/W mismatched.

press ctrl + M when it is booting

then to go config

then goto clear current confige

goto easy config

then make you RAID there

then select the 0-0 as your boot drive with the last option on the config list

then make sure in the bios of the computer the perc 2/dc is in the boot options as enabled

then in the bios of the computer make sure it can see your logical drive.

once you have done this you should be fine.
