it is asking for a username and password. I assume this is the password I login to this particular server with? or does this need to be setup in the dell sftw somewhere else?

It requires a system Administrator (Domain Admins included).
Add the site to IE's Intranet Zone, and as long as you have proper admin credentials on the system, it should log you in automatically.
