Newbie server storage question
Hey all, I am a complete newbie on this so appreciate any assistance. I acquired a Dell DL380 G7 server with SFF storage bays. I am running VMware on the server and want to expand the storage on the box to use with Plex media server I have running on one of the VM's. I have some existing LFF drives I'd like to move to the new server and want to add additional storage but I have no idea if I should buy a NAS drive, DAS, a storage cage or other for my VM to access my content. Any guidance is greatly appreciated, thank you!

I think you have an HP and not a Dell.
For home use, it would probably be easiest to just add an external USB enclosure. The transfer rate won't be very good, but if you look at any other external storage options it is likely to get overly complex and expensive for your use.
