First you have to have the minimum firmware and driver requirements.
For Array Manager v3.6:
If you download and install the latest driver .......... 2.8.0.6085  (this is also the minimum)
If you download and install the latest firmware...... 2.8.0.6092  (6089 is the minimum)

When you install OpenManage products it is a good idea to uninstall any previous version you have on the system prior to the new install.

Check if you have ASPI 4.7x installed.
Array Mgr can not be installed with a system that has ASPI 4.7x installed.
It needs ASPI 4.6.
You can download the ASPI 4.6 package from support.dell.com.
When you run it 4.7x will be removed and 4.6 installed.

I am currently trying to get Array Manger running and have had no success in doing so. I have a PE2650 with a PERC 3/Di RAID controller. The server also has an adaptec 39160 SCSI card which the array manager will see and monitor just fine. I have tried version 3.4 and 3.6 of the software and neither will see the PERC 3/Di. I am testing the process before also installing the software on an identical production server (which i really don't want to have to update firmware/drivers on unless i have to).

Here are my specs

PE2650
PERC 3/Di RAID 5 (Manager will not see controller card at all)
Driver ver. 2.5.0.8501

Adaptec 39160 SCSI (Manager identifies the array correctly)

Thanks for the help

Thanks for the response.

I am aware of the system requirements to run version 3.6, and I would like to avoid having to do any firmware upgrades to our production server if at all possible, this is why I was attempting to install and run ver. 3.4, which according to the documentation should require no firmware upgrades.

Are there any other array monitor/manager utilities that I can use?

Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help
