PERC H710 - RAID broken Why?
Initially I have Server having (5 x 1TB) Sata drives with RAID-5 Configuration. Data nearly 3.5TB on it.
We have to save the Data as well as change the configuration with (4 x 1TB) Sata Drives RAID-5.
To backup the data we added (2 x 3TB) SAS drives in rest of the free bays with RAID-0 configuration.
The data successfully copied on new RAID-0.
Deleted the RAID-5 VD, removed the 1 disk and our new configuration is (4 x 1TB) Sata Drives.
Created RAID-5 as per new requirement.
OS Deployment(Windows 2008 Server R2) done on it. Checked the Backup RAID-0 drives in Windows Manager no visibility.
Checked from RAID Configuration, Both Disk which we created for backup (RAID-0), shows in ready state and configured RAID broken.
All the Data lost. Question is Why this happened?
As per my understanding RAID-0 drives should be in-contact, either of 1st RAID-5 change configuration and new OS Deployment.

Running Configuration RAID-5 (5 x 1TB) VD1
New Design RAID-5 to make (4 x 1TB) VD1'
For Backup purpose RIAD-0 (2 x 3TB) VD2
only VD1 Storage showing in the Window Disk Manager.
I dont have screen shots right now.
RAID Controller broken the VD2 (2 x 3TB) after the installation of OS on VD1 and the both Disk now in ready state.
I just want to know that either its a RAID normal behavior or something went wrong.
