PERC H755 Cable Kit?

We are looking on installing a PERC H755 PCI-E (405-AAXT) in our r750. However the PERC card doesn't come with the SAS cable. Does anyone know the cable required (part code) to connect the H755 to the backplane?

SAS cable can vary based on the backplane you have on the server. Can you share the backplane you have on R750. You can also refer below link and share which Figure represent your config

Kindly advise what cable is required to add PERC H755 Front Raid controller to the Dell R550 Server . The server has a 8x2.5"back plane.

The PERC cards are not coming with cables

Back Plane Side Cable is SL9 _PCH_SA1   and the connector on the PERC H755 FRONT card is CTRL_DST_PA1

Thanks & Regards,

 Jacob

Hello, may be the following part code. But unfortunately I can't be 100% sure. Because I cannot check whether there are different parts for different BP variations through a more detailed document. However, when I examined the cables for the R550, I thought this might happen. Please note that this changes the PERC and it's recommended to get in touch with your local sales team or a team dedicated to those who wish to purchase part components. They can provide the most accurate information based on your specific configuration and requirements.

I don't have the sourcebook for R550 but when I review it I believe the part is below cable. Before purchasing please consult Dell sales team. Because as a technician team member I can see the parts in spare part system. I don't have access to sales team system. Also lets see how to community contribute the thread.

Thanks for  suggesting the PN

Before we order we want to confirm on the below

I have gone through the service manual and found that  the  cable required is for connectivity from the PERC 755 FRONT card to slot 18 of the system board connector

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-ae/poweredge-r550/per550_ism_pub/system-board-connectors?guid=guid-f1535fb9-217b-498a-86eb-cb07394c704e&lang=en-us

and the cable required is the one connecting from

From CTRL_DST_PA1 (Signal connector on the front PERC H755) to SL3_CPU1_PB2 (Signal connector 18  on system board)

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-ae/poweredge-r550/per550_ism_pub/cable-routing?guid=guid-84d50250-ecf9-4813-bcd7-50e3b638acf9&lang=en-us

Section Figure 1. 8 x 2.5-inch SAS/SATA

Please see if it is possible to confirm the cable  HVNP8 suggested is the same

We also want the TRAY for installing the H755 Front card within the server like in the below picture

https://www.serverworlds.com/dell-5y1hd-poweredge-15th-gen-perc-card-holder/

Thanks  for your support

Hi,

The cable part number is as mentioned: HVNP8.

I tried to get a clear picture of the mentioned part with port naming, this is the best I can:

This cable is compatible with R550 and R750XS.
