physical disk status failed
Hello, I bough new dell server R720 and I installed ESXI 6.5 on it, but it stopped working suddenly and it is said "All the disks from your previous configuration are gone”. I bough new Samsung hard drive and it was working fine and yesterday same issue happened again. Now when I go to the "Ctrl+R", I see the the disk status is Failed. Please help me for this issue.

Hello,
I'd recommend logging into the iDRAC to review the SEL and also to review the Lifecycle Log to see what entries are listed about your storage chain. If you don't find an answer there, you might consider booting to the Support Live Image and exporting a PERC log and reviewing it to see what the drives are doing. The Support Live Image is just a CentOS live image with OMSA built into it, so you can follow the instructions below to get the PERC log.

Hello, thank you very much for your response. I have the server at home, no need for the iDRAC. My experience with Dell servers are very basic. Please can you send me the details then I can check what is the issue. I don't want to install the esxi again and the issue will happen again.
Thank you again.

Hi if I may- it’s not enough to tell what is going on just by what you are saying to us I’m afraid, hence we need that “Support Live Image and exporting a PERC log more so as Dylan said before.

Doesn't sound like you know what an iDRAC is. Home, work, remote, onsite ... iDRAC can be important, and helpful at the very least.
Your problem is the drives. Consumer-grade drives often struggle in servers (they generally shouldn't be used in servers), but the Samsung drives are particularly prone to failures and other issues. The drives aren't bad, they simply aren't compatible and lack the programming to work properly with the RAID controller.
Get the proper drives from someplace like Xbyte.com or ServerSupply.com.
