Power Edge R440 IDRAC 9 seeing the new disk, but won't allow me to add disk to Virtual Disk 0
One of my HDD Drives for my Power Edge R440 failed, when i asked for a replacement i was told they no longer sell the HDD, here is the HDD in question
TOSHIBA AL14SXB90ENY, 900GB SAS 12Gbps, RPM 15k
i was told that the best replacement for it would be this SSD
Dell 1.92TB SSD up to SAS 24Gbps ISE Read Intensive 512e 2.5in 3.5in Hybrid Carrier 1WPD
The Server did recognize the the SSD, but i am unable to use it to replace the failed drive in the Virtual Disk 0 Raid 1 that was pre-configured before i inherited the server
Any assistance would be appreciated.

STOP!
You can mixed different drive types within a single Raidgroup(or VD). So a SSD can never be a part of a HDD Diskgroup and vice versa.
