PowerEdge 650 & GHOST Problems

Hi All,

I have a PowerEdge 650 with a Silicon Image SIL 0680A ATA/133 EIDE controller card. The system has 2 harddrives, the primary is a WD400BB and the secondary is a Seagate 80GB drive. I have created a FAT32 boot partition and formatted and transferred the system to it. So far so good. The system boots to a DOS prompt as expected and I see all hard drives without any problems. Next, I attempted to run ghost (8.0) to only discover that it hangs forever. I'm not sure if there are any BIOS settings for the IDE controller card as I see no keys to press to get into the controller card BIOS. I played around a little with ghost and found a switch- DL={total system drives}. After I set this ghost then loaded. However, ghost does not see any of my hard drives now.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Paul

I have had a similar problem with Ghost 7 on Dell systems. Ghost 5 sees the hard drives and boots, Ghost 7 just hangs.
