There are two PCI-X slots on the MB of the system, so it should work, but I don't think it is a validated card so most likely they will not support it if you run into problems with it.
Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for a cheaper way into a RAID configuration for my entry level PowerEdge 830 running W2K3 SBS other than the CERC SATA 1.5/6ch RAID Controller priced at $499. I'd also like to get SATA II 3 Gb/s throughput instead of the SATA 1.5 Gb/s. The SATA II drives are less expensive and have much more capacity than the older SATA drives like WD Raptor 74 GB drives.
