PowerEdge R320 RAID Error

iDrac on PowerEdge R320 reported the following storage error messages yesterday:

-Bad block medium error is detected at block 0x52490e9 on Virtual Disk 0 on Integrated RAID Controller 1.

-An unrecoverable disk media error occurred on Disk 1 in Backplane 1 of Integrated RAID Controller 1.

Server is out of warranty and whoever did the initial setup configured it as RAID 0.  There are 4 drives and none are currently showing a predictive failure.  We are planning to virtualize this server next year (hopefully Q1) and we have backups in case we do end up having a failed drive but obviously this would still be bad.  I realize it's probably hard to say for sure but how serious could these errors be?

Hello

When a bad block is found the controller will attempt to recover the block with redundant data. RAID 0 has no redundant data, so whatever data was in that block is lost. The block might have contained no data, but that would be unlikely. There is nothing you can do about it now, but going forward it would probably be good to move to something other than RAID 0.
