PowerEdge R620 Raid Controller Replacement

Question

I have a PowerEdge R620 with the PERC H710 mini raid controller.

I would like to replace this raid controller with something that has a larger cache and that will also support a single disk in pass-through mode.

I currently have a RAID 10 array consisting of 4 each Samsung SSD. I have a hot spare Samsung SSD.

I currently have a single WD Black "spinner" disk for backup purposes which is configured as RAID 0.

I currently have a single WD Black "spinner" disk for general purpose storage.

I was wondering if the DELL PERC H730 would be a viable replacement. (Drop in if possible.)

Hello

I'm not aware of a supported controller that would meet those specifications. The H730 is not supported on the R620. You can view supported controllers under the legacy tab of our PERC page.
