Problem with perc h700
Hi. I am having dell R710 server with 1 TB x 2 no in RAID-1 and 4TB x 4 no in Raid 5. All was well when I shifted the domain of this server its now asking me to initialize the hdd of RAID 5 volume. I have a crucial data in it which was not backup for last 1 month. Can anyone guide me " If I initialize this volume what will be the consequences. Will I loose my data. Please guide and offer your help. TIA.

You can get more details on various initialization from "Initializing Virtual Disks" section on page 25 of below link. As per the link "Unlike full or fast initialization of virtual disks, background initialization does not clear data from the physical disks."
