R430 does not see disks
Hi all! I purchased a used PowerEdge R430 with no disks and 2 Seagate SAS Savvi 10k.6 disks.
My problem is that I inserted the disks in the first two slots of the server, but I can't see them.
I reset the BIOS settings, tried setting the RAID mode and configuring the PERC s130, checked that the disks were inserted correctly... but nothing.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can/should do to fix the problem?
Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I discovered that the nice guy who sold me the server mounted some SAS disks instead of SATA, which are not usable without a hardware RAID controller ...

Hello @trigg3r
I would advise you to first check if the drives are supported for this server.
1. Reseat the backplane and cables on the server. Make sure that the drives are properly seated.
2. Check in bios if the drives are being detected.
reboot the server- f2 to enter system bios- device settings- raid controller- physical disks.
3. Make sure that the firmwares for are updated to the latest version including bios
- This issue can occur if the drives are not supported.
- if the backplane is not properly seated.
- or if backplane and cables are damaged.

Sakshi.
