You can run Dell's bootable diagnostics. Here is a link to download our 32 bit diagnostics package:
ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/diags/DELL_32-BIT-DIAGNOSTICS_5118-3_R212797.exe
Or you can run Online Diagnostics if you are running Windows: http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER00757400M/1/dell-onlinediags-win32-2.21.0.12.exe
This will check the hard drives for any errors.

Looks like it was a correctable media error. The controller was doing its job.

ran the diagnostic andf all drives passed
