R710 Server RAID controller alternative
We need a RAID controller that supports WD or Seagate drives and sizes greater than 2 GB for our R710 server. This is being used as a Backup NAS system. Can anyone make some suggestions on a RAID controller that will work with the Dell hard drive backplane and supports drives bigger than 2GB (and non-Dell branded drives)??

The only 2 controllers I see that would support that request is the H200 (part 3J8FW) or H700 (part CNXVV), now to ensure the greater than 2TB limit is achievable I would suggest getting the server updated to current, as some of those limitations were based on previous fw versions.
