RAID BIOS Flash Failed: Error 0x6
I've got a PE2850 with a Perc 4e/Di RAID adapter set up in RAID 5. There is an urgent update to fix the firmware. When I follow the process, I get a Flash Error 0x6 and the program ends. Tried a different floppy. Same problem.
The system was working fine before the flash, and I successfully flashed a different system, but 1) It's listed as urgent, 2) I'm having difficulties installing Windows 7 Pro x64
Related Problem:
When installing Windows 7 Pro x64 I am told I have to load drivers. I was able to get a very old Windows 2003 driver to work, but when it attempts to decompress the files onto the drive (clean install) it gets stuck at 0% and eventually errors out with a media error. Since my install DVD is new, I'm thinking it's related to the RAID driver. What driver is optimal for installing Windows 7 Pro x64?
I was able to install Windows 7 Home x32 on a different PE2850 and it's running nicely, but you can't upgrade from x32 to x64.
