Afternoon all. I was called in for a poweredge 2950 with a 15-disk RAID 5 configuration. Recently two of the disks simultaneously failed due to the department of water and power messing with the power lines (fried the UPS as well). I replaced the two disks in the array with new ones. So now when I view the disk statuses on the controller I have 12 disks online, 1 foreign, and 2 ready, and the virtual disk only has 12 disks listed and is failed.

importing the foreign configuration does not help because the data is also incomplete due to the failure. is there anything I can do to recover this data?

p.s. I plan on setting them up with RAID 10 or something a little more fool-proof once this is all over.
