SAS/SATA Query

Hi,

We have been considering this server :

I have a question regarding hard drives. I have 2x 500gb SATA drives I would like to add as separate logical volumes ("D" and "E") alongside the internal SAS drive provided ("C"). The server OS would reside on the 450gb SAS C drive and ideally the 2 500gb SATA drives would function as 2 data drives. Is this possible using the controller provided with this server?

The other drive controller options for this server include PERC 100/300 raid controllers. Can these controllers be used with Windows Server 2012?

SATA-II HDD physical disks can be used with a PERC S300 controller SAS HDD physical disks can be used only with a PERC S300 controller. They cannot be mixed in the same array.
