SCSI Backplane Errors
I have been getting the "
Voltage sensor detected a failure value Sensor location: Backplane " error messages on one of our Poweredge 2450 servers. The ESM, System Bios and Raid Firmware and drivers have all been upgraded to the latest versions, and I have checked all of the cabling and connections, but I still get this error logged about every 10 minutes.
This server has 4 hard drives in it. From what I have read here and in the troubleshooting section, the next step would be to replace the SCSI backplane board. Are there any other parts I should consider replacing as well? I am wondering if I were to order a replacement backplane board from Dell, and it turns out that the board is not the problem, would I be able to return it?
Thank you for your help!
