The rebuild of Disk 2 in Backplane 1 of Integrated RAID Controller 1 failed due to errors on the source physical disk.

Team,

We hot swapped a failed disk and the rebuild failed.  During the rebuild we had another drive failure and are waiting on new drives to be shipped.  What are next steps?  This is an old PowerEdge R530 using an embedded PERC H330 raid controller.  I included a screenshot of the iDRAC.

Hello wnpt,

First check the status of your backup. If this is critical data and you do not have a back up you may consider contacting a Data Recovery company.

Looks like Disk5 has errors and is not functioning correctly and failed. It failed during the rebuild of Disk2

Have you tried rebooting and go into the controller to see if there is a Foreign configuration to import?

Next, and again I recommend consider the state of your backup as anything we do may make it harder to recover data if it is recoverable at all. See if you can Online Disk5 and should start the rebuild on Disk2 again.

From the looks of it you may have to delete the array, replace the bad drives, recreate the array and install, restore from backup.

Hi,

Just replace the disk with a new one and insert it, and it should start rebuilding.
