"Unknown Error" in Bios Configuration Utility: No foreign or domestic configurations present

Select CLEAR from the Foreign Configuration View page. Once you have cleared the foreign then go back to PD Mgmt page and verify the Physical Disks are showing as Ready. If so, then go back to VD Mgmt page and see if you are able to create a new Virtual Disk.

Another thing to look at is if the controller is up to date on its firmware as well.
