Can I shorted boot time?!
Hi,
My wife's computer (Lenovo Laptop) has a SSD for the OS and it boots in 8 Seconds! BAM, just like that.! My PowerEdge T620 takes around 2:45 minutes?! I am sure it has something to do with loading a bunch of "server" stuff like RAID and LifeCicle (forgot what it is called. Never sit there and watch it boot up, ha ha).
Anyhow, is there a way to speed up boot time? It is not the worst thing in the world, but I am just wondering...
Thanks.
G

My memory testing was off to begin with. I then tried disabling the LifeCycle controller. That made booting faster by maybe 10 seconds. However, I realized that CSIOR was off as well, and I now enabled it. Maybe I can finally get my system to update its drivers and firmware itself... using Repositories Manager...
Thanks,
G
