Dell R710 Fan Speed
I've noticed that my fans are loud, and seem to run at high speeds, even when I am running no to few VMs. Are the fan speeds by default set to a static, or a dynamic value? How is it recommended to manage them?

Hi,
The server fan are controlled by BIOS and BMC, where thermal are detected instead of load. There might be some updates running in the background, or some processes in the VM are currently utilizing hardware needs.
You should try reviewing the logs in iDRAC to see if there is any hardware failures, or the firmware level if there are up to date.
