I faced the same problem,it generate error (47872} asc.sys,the setup failed & i have to reboot,& when i used Dell Poweredge SC server installation cd, it only support windows 2003 & above ;P

or is there any cd update that supports windows 2000 server installation?

either use a flopply to install the controller driver or if you do not have a floppy drive, you can make your own customised windows 2000 cd with the controller driver built in. Google for slipstream windows for the second option. If you are using the built in sata, you should have any problems installing windows 2000. Mine works fine by using the normal windows 2000 CD.
