Help !!

clean install of Win2k on a PE4200, I got this after boot disk:

**STOP: 0x00000001E (0xC0000006,0x804E62BE,0x00000000,0x002A2B69)

**Adress 804E62BE base 80400000, DateStamp 384d5a76 - ntoskrnl.exe

If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.Try changing video adaptors.Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

Is there a way arounf this or is there an additional update I need?

Hi

You might want to try to set up your server using DELLs OpenManage Server Assistant.

It's a bootable CD containing a step by step procedure for setting up servers. Partitioning plus driver installation is included. You should have got this CD with your server.

Edit: Just saw there are already answers saying PE4200 is not compatible to this CD. Sry.

I figured it out. Since I don't have the Open Manager software. During the post I inserted the win2k boot floppy. When the installation reached the point where it asked for the win2k RAID driver, I inserted it and when it asked if there was any other devices,I optioone to load the PERC NT 4.0 drivers as well. This gave me a smooth errorless install.
