Installing CentOS 7
I'm trying to install CentOS 7 to a Dell PowerEdge 2600 which, at one time, had a much older version installed. What is happening now is that after I get the CentOS screen and try to install, all I get are some little colorful marks at the top edge of the screen. The same thing happens when I used Dell's own CentOS 6.x live image although it does let me run the DOS-based diagnostics which show nothing out of the ordinary. Any ideas?

Only CentOS/RHEL 4 and 5 are supported on the 2600.

Thank you and that's what I suspected but v5.11 boots to the install screen, then nothing but a blinking cursor.
