installing Windows 2000
Good morning....
I just received a new 2600, This machine has a PERC 4Di RAID controller, 2 - 72G drives, 1G of RAM, and dual 2.8G processors. The objective is to downgrade the machine to Win2k with RAID 1.
I have completely wiped out the disk array using the BIOS (clear on the physical drives). I then recreated the RAID 1 array, including the logical disks. The array size is 68GB.
When I try to install Win2k, whether it is manually or with the DOSA, I can get through the text portion of the install...and then when its reboots to go to the GUI portion, I get reboot after reboot.
I've read in this forum about the dynamic disk situation and to do a "clear" on the drives (which I've done). I've also read on this forum (although with different RAID controllers) about a size issue of the array for the install?
Can anyone shed some light?
Thanks....this forum rocks!
Jen
