Couple of ways to get around this. Log on to the server using a cached acct. that had admin rights and then reset the admin password. You can also get a copy of ERD Commander Pro and use the Locksmith utility to reset the admin password.. Both can be done witout any data loss or re-installations.
I've gone through this with NT 4 server and was surprised at how easy it was to find and use (successfully) Linux-based floppy disk solutions by just looking on Google (NT password lost hack). I think the one I used was out of western Europe somewhere. The process isn't quite automated nor is there a GUI, but if you know a fair amount about your server's OS, you should be able to work its magic.
