On dell server, you have only an OEM OS. With a new machine, you have operating system, with key on the machine.

If you lost CD, the manufacter can not sell a new OS. Because, a OS cd is a new licence.

I think what you are looking for is a Restore CD for Windows 2003 Server?  You may want to contact Dell support and see how much it would cost you.  Similar to the Dell Restore CD for the desktops, the Windows 2003 Server also works the same way. 

 

When I purchased my PowerEdge 650 it came with a restore CD and just formatted it about a month ago and used the CD to reinstall Windows 2003 standard.
