PowerEdge 2600: Keyboard settings problems
Hi all,
I got a PowerEdge 2600 server and set it up with the Dell CDs to run Windows 2000. Everything went fine but I have a strange behavior now:
I change the local settings after installation to my Country and as long as I am logged on (no depending on the user) everything goes fine (Keyboard layout is set to German since I am from Austria). But when I log out and get the login screen and try to login again (or after a startup or restart), the Keyboard layout is changed to US?? So I had some problems to login till I recognized this! haha
After the user is logged in the keyboard layout is changed to German again!
Does anyone know something about this strange behavior?

Hey bmw328ii,
never got the problem solved! If you know it's not so a big problem, but before ... haha ... it took me a day to recognize!

Hello,
i am writing from germany. We have the same problem on two Power Edge 2650 Servers. After changing the local administrator password we recognized this problem. After shut down or restart we try to logon with the new password but without a chance. The keyboard layout is set to US. Some characters are different so we can´t logon. We went mad until somebody recognized the problem. After login the keyboard layout is set to german. Then everything is working normal.
zeili_m: Do you found any ideas to solve the problem?

i have now found a solution for our problem and it works!

There is everything described. I was very happy about this solution because we have many servers here.
