Problems with DOS app

Windows 2000 Server Advanced has been running fine for a couple of years with no problems.  Suddenly my dos apps crash server with a STOP error.  Win32 apps are fine. Cannot even run a command prompt.  Dos app runs fine in safe mode.  No known changes to drivers,etc.  Any ideas where to start?

Qick one, try to find regclean.exe (my be hard to find), MS's old registry cleanup utility.
 
Run from safe mode..very safe, creates a registry backout file.
