Try this iso, it's the Dell Systems Build and Update Utility from the 1950 downloads page: Here

Unfortunately the link you suggested require a service tag and the only I found in server setup (there are no labels on the rear of the server as the help suggested) gave to a blank page with no other action.

Perhaps I am missing some prerequisite, some knowledge not clear for a newbie like me in dell servers ...

thank you

boot the server and press F2 to go into setup, the service tag should be shown on the main page at the top.

I did it, but the download didn't start; just a blank page (same in explorer or firefox).

Anyway I overrided the problem installing windows native and supplying the drivers as required (after some retry).

I am used to hp server with smartstart cd, so I believed to find a similar way in dell or to find cd with drivers in the package box. I'll remember next time I'll buy a server.

thank you

THe build cd is similar to smart start, you can use it to build a server or upgrade the firmware if required. When you buy a new Dell server there is a disk pack included which has the build cd, management tools cd and documentation. This may all be on one dvd but the iso's will be on it. Plus if you bought any add in cards at the same time, all the driver cd's will be included.
