powermax-vvol-status-inaccessible-when-vasa-provider-configured-in-multiple-vcenter

Hi,

This is an update to my other post ‎PowerMAX vVol Status inaccessible when VASA Provider configured in multiple vCenter | DELL Technologies

Fix#

Though I followed to relevant VASA document to add the second vCenter with VASA provider, the virtual volumes of those separate clusters on two different vCenter's were reported inaccessible after few days of the configuration. Later it was fixed permanently when I configured one vVol PE to each participating node.

The PowerMAX 8500 is common for both vCenter / Clusters. Hence,

1st cluster configured with 4 nodes, managed by its own vCenter. Hence, 1 x vVol PE, i.e., 4 protocol endpoints.

2nd cluster configured with 19 nodes, managed by its own vCenter. Hence, 1 x vVol PE, i.e., 19 protocol endpoints.

Since the previous one could not be marked as solved, created this second.
