Powerpath on a HP-UX Virtual Machine host
We have a HP-UX 11iv2 Virtual Machine host running Powerpath 5.1
I was just running some utilization reports on the SAN and found that the two paths I've got from the VM host to the Symm are not being balanced. All of the traffic is going down one link.
I looked at powerpath and it shows both paths active to all of the disk on the server and the policies are all set to Symopt. I made an assumption that since creating a volume group only requires one of the HP-UX device files specified then that is all I would have to present to the VM guest and PP would take care of the rest. Did I assume wrong?
Thanks,
Christian
