IO modules port bonding and LACP
I couldnt find documentation about port bonding except port 0 and 1 on embedded 4 ports card but this is what i dont want to use for block traffic
I have Dell powerstore t and would like to use only IO module for block traffic
The question is
Can ports on IO module be bonded my assumption is that they can and I heard somewhere that only ports from the same node can be bonded you cannot bond port 0 on node A and port 0 on node b in one bond they have to be bonded on same node
If i bond for example port 0 and 1 on node A can be that configured with LACP or LACP is only available on Port 0 and 1 on embedded 4 ports card

I don’t see any official guidance to not use LACP, but you may want to test both options for your environment.

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
I do not think you can bond on the i/o module/ This thread has some more information https://dell.to/3ThoqHm and https://dell.to/3TcCS3b
Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Hi Josh thanks for your reply I can bond the ports but not for block storage
NOw I heard from some people that iSCSI and LACP dont play good so I was suggested to use IO module ports and configure MPIO on iscsi port teaming but not to use LACP
per this article
https://core.vmware.com/blog/iscsi-and-laglacp
Using LACP with iSCSI not advisable
What is your opinion on that
