110t-lt01
Hi Guys
A bit of a question from the past please.
Just bought myself a Powervalut 110t-lt01 which hangs off a XP workstation that I use to share out my media and files.
Plugged it in, upgraded the drivers, fired up Bright store and all works except for one small issuse.
There is no hardware compression running, like I only get 106gis sort of thing on the tape not the 200 I was expecting.
Now trawling around the Dell site I see that compresson is set with a diagnostic ulity, but dammed if I can find one that will see the drive ... yes I did a cstop and not the media change service has to be stopped.
The service tag is <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>
Anyone help ???
Thanks
Max

Compression results depend on the type of data. Things like video files don't compress much. Text files on the other hand typically compress quite well.
Enabling (hardware) compression is done from the backup software. You may want to open a support ticket with Brightstor support as I haven't seen many people ask about this specific software and have seen even fewer replies on these boards about that software.
