The persistent storage manager is the active archive feature of the NAS. You can shrink this down by removing the existing persistent images. this is done via the NAS manager website. Once all of the persistent images are removed, you can disable the service from the services applet if you don't want to use it.
After rereading my post, I didn't finish my sentence. hmm. I meant to say that the configuration doesn't show any images. Is the folder safe to delete?
Since most NAS boxes use PSM from Columbia Data Products, Inc. (PSM is Active Archive)
