Clean Media Light always Blinking

Question

I have a Dell DLT1 (PV 110T) drive.  Its 'Clean Media' light will not stop blinking.  I ran a new cleaning tape through it and power cycled the drive, but it will not stop blinking.  Is there anything else I can try, or do I just need to replace the drive?

I have same problem, tried same fixes, no solution. If someone has found the answer since March I would like to know. Thanks
