Disk bypassed in md3200i

We have a md3200i with 5 4TB disk.

Originally it come with 4 disks when we installed de 5th disk in the first available slot we received this message.

Event Message: Physical disk by-passed

We try installing the disk in another slot and it works ok.

Attached is the support bundle that the storage sent with the alert.

Any idea?

Did you buy the 5th drive from Dell and/or does it have a Dell part number (DP/N) on it? If it doesn't have the Dell firmware (comes with Dell branded drives), it will not work and one of the possibilities is that a drive is put into a bypassed state.

Directly purchased from Dell, and it works in other disk bay.

I will send you a direct message so that you can send me the support bundle. I will then take a look at the report and see what we can find as to why the drive works in one slot and just not the other.

I have not recieved the support bundle yet. Can you ensure that it's not getting stuck when you send it?
