Hi @jfWCCH,

Would you be able to let us know what storage model that you're using and the management software that you are using to export the mapping info. It would be great to have more details so we could assist.

made sure did not have anything selected first.. same as your pic, All is greyed out when NOT selecting anything.. Still same.. I only get the highest numbered luns returned for each group..

would expect to be able to pull/export the same info that is in returned in the "View Map Details"

Being cannot select any of the data in the Details window to copy and paste out, the Export option is only means apparently to get data and it is not returning the details.

this is what am getting instead of ea host, their initiators and each assigned LUN.. get on host, it initiator and the highest numbered LUN in each of the two Volume Groups have setup.

Host Group Host Nickname Initiator ID Volume Group Volume Access LUN Ports
GRP_VMHosts01 wcchvmwhost04 INI_vmhost04 iqn.1998-01.com.vmware:wcchvmwhost04-68e595b9 VGrpA_INFRA.* ME4_3A_INFRA03 read-write 103 0 1 2 3
GRP_VMHosts01 wcchvmwhost04 INI_vmhost04 iqn.1998-01.com.vmware:wcchvmwhost04-68e595b9 VGrpA_PERF.* ME4_3A_PERF03 read-write 203 0 1 2 3

This is the output info am looking for:

Hello jfWCCH,

The process should be to

  1. Open PowerVault Manager
  2. Click on Mapping tab
  3. Click on the Export to CSV button
    1. without selecting anything on the page
  4. Choose All if possible, then Rows/Columns
  5. Click OK

Tested in the lab - works if you do not select anything in the table

My pictures won't post inline with text so they are attached.

Pictures 1-3 show selection. Picture 4 shows output

If you don't get the desired result; can you post pictures of your steps?

Looks like you are using volume groups to map

This may get what you are looking for:

Try SSH and run these commands

"show maps" and "show maps all" will show the volumes in a volume group

# show maps

Volume Group View [Serial Number (00c0ff3c586100007e69026201000000) Group Name (                                                       tester.*) ] Mapping:

   Ports Access       Initiator-Identifier              Nickname    Profile

   --------------------------------------------------------------------------

   0-3   read-write   00c0ff3c59ca000010e1ec5e01010000  Station1.*  Standard

      Name    Serial Number                    LUN

      -----------------------------------------------

      Test00  00c0ff3c58610000374e026201000000 1

      Test01  00c0ff3c58610000374e026203000000 2

last couple of lines are the volumes in a volume group

the command output from console gives the info wanted that could copy out and format..

updated the f/w on the other 4024 and tested export to csv on mapping, but it did not change data output - still only the highest numerical lun returned.

Thx for the pointer to use the cli..

Put a bug in the dev's ear on the GUI export function..

thx
