is ME5024 with DAS or SAS with SAS 8 port dual controller?
- I want to know if we order a ME5024 with12Gb SAS 8 Port Dual Controller, is it work as DAS or we could use it as SAN Storage?
- We want to order it with HBA355e on the server side

Hello Zigoratuae,
The ME5024 is a block storage device that can connect only directly to a host.
Direct-attached storage (DAS) is a type of storage that attaches directly to a computer without going through a network.
The ME5024 will present volumes to the host for use as the OS wished but will not label the presented volume as Local in OSes like VMWare but does show like any other drive in Windows.
For what reason do you need the distinction for SAN?
